Spinach that Survived the Snow/雪に耐えたほうれん草

I previously talked about “chijimi horenso” here in my blog. I wanted to see if I could make something similar to “chijimi horenso”, and left some spinach unpicked in my yard. Initially, I planned to pick it much earlier, but I was too lazy to do so, and I finally picked it today.

It looked so unappetizing that I almost gave up picking it.

I finally got this much:

I made “horenso no goma ae” (spinach dressed with sesame seeds). I couldn’t tell if it was sweeter than it was before the winter, but it was softer than I had thought.
